The problem
Three finish schemes for one kitchen, so the choice can be made by looking rather than by imagining. That only works if the finishes are the only thing that changes from one frame to the next.
Our approach
The kitchen is built once. For each scheme the overhead cabinetry, the island front, the countertop, the backsplash tile, the floor and the stools change, while the room, the appliances and the light stay as they were. A comparison is only fair when the light is identical; otherwise one option looks better simply because it was lit better.
Look closely
Compare the backsplashes: the textured, handmade-look tile in the first frame against the flat tile in the all-white scheme. They catch the strip light under the cabinets quite differently, and that difference is exactly what the choice is about.
